Edit Tables and Texts Directly and
Save Millions of Clicks in the Long Run

With the upcoming version 16 the List & Label Designer has become far more intuitive and productive. One innovation is for example the mini toolbar - a small tool with great effects. From now on you can process contents significantly faster and save millions of clicks over the long term. Discover how easy it is to use the mini toolbar efficiently and what else you can achieve if you click on a cell once or twice.

 New:  Edit tables and texts with the mini toolbar


How it's done: Select the desired cell by moving the mouse in its left part until a black arrow appears (see further selection options below). Click once to select the desired option in the mini toolbar.

Selection options


Cell: Click in the left-hand area (black arrow).
Line: Click on the bar on the left-hand side.
Whole column: Keep the alt key pressed down in the left-hand area of the cell.

Keep the ctrl or the shift key pressed down to select several lines or cells.

How it's done: If you click once into the field with your mouse the formula wizard opens in a new dialog with numerous input options. You may change the content of the table object by using formulas to input or combine "fixed text", functions, variables and connections. The wizard automatically suggests possible formulas, once you start writing. Find more information about the formula wizard in the Designer user manual.

Quick overview: formatting table contents


Per mini toolbar: Select the cell by clicking on the lefthand side.
Pare formula wizard: Click once on the cell.
Per dialog window: Doubleclick on the cell.
