Sponsored Animals

The second largest tropical rainforest region worldwide is located in southeast Asia. Among others 85% of all living Orang Utans are living in Borneo's woods. Every 20 seconds, forest area as large as a footbald field is disappearing in Borneo. And with it the Orang Utans die. (Source: WWF)

That is why we sponsor the Orang Utan, representative for its natural habitat  – beginning with December 2005.

A small contribution to help the WWF to

  • stop the saws
  • plant trees to nourish Orang Utans and prevent them from moving hungrily to the oil palm plantations
  • send out patrols who protect the rainforest and the apes against woodcutters and poachers
  • definitely stop the illegal felling within the next five years
  • announce over 22 million hectars of rainforest to a refuge network. (Source: WWF)

We at combits think that the great work of the WWF should be supported. We are happy that we do not only support a good thing but can take part in the progress of the sponsored project. This creates identification, is personal and bridges two totally different worlds.
