combit Reporting: flexible in every way
New version 11 of combit’s report generator List & Label
With the new version 11 of List & Label combit GmbH is presenting a report generator which is flexible in every way and fits the mostly very special needs of software developers. Database independence has been List & Label’s most important property until now. Version 11 adds functions that enhance the handling of databases, such as supporting several tables for design and print. These features are the heart of List & Label 11. They guarantee even more flexibility and open new fields of application, for example sub reports.
The comprehensive revision of the table object now allows the output of almost arbitrary hierarchical table structures. Handling relational databases becomes very easy. With sub reports / multi tables and the connections between tables and sub tables even complex projects can be clearly displayed. Databinding for .NET and the VCL component have been completely renewed to support this feature coherently. New aggregate functions round off the new version and allow the analysis of whole data rows. In this connection especially, the support of NULL values is an enhanced feature.
Further focal points of the new version are an increased ease of use as well as a variety of other improvements which will save time. The new context sensitive online help for the .NET component supports the developer and makes an easy starting point. New property editors within the Designer and the print range selection have been made even easier. The support of "Page 1 of n" simplifies processing and therefore saves a lot of time.
List & Label 11 will be available in August 2005, the Standard Edition runs at EURO 509 / USD 524, the Professional Edition – which includes the runtime free redistributable Designer - at EURO 834 / USD 858. (Based upon exchange rates from July 08, 2005. Exchange rates may vary which could cause a change in the USD price.)
