The Designer in Detail
Even less experienced users
are soon familiar with the intuitive handling of Drag & Drop. One whole page is treated as a whole page, and not as a mix-up of different sectionbands. This is a natural way of dealing with reports. Rulers, ruler guides, zoom, grouping functions and other familiar resources save you and users time in preparing evaluations.
The ergonomic tool window
including properties lists, variables list, object list, layers, preview and the powerful report container enable you to dock or float them as you please.
Report Structure. Here you can define the sequence of the desired tables, charts and cross tabs just by clicking and arranging.
Flexible report structure
Property List. Quick overview and fast input of all the selected report objects’ properties. The property list concisely displays all settings for each object. Apart from simple values you can also enter formulas, e.g. printing negative red is a piece of cake. Dynamic layouts are created almost as easily as static ones.
List of Variables. Once all database tables are passed, the Designer automatically shows all fields in a hierarchic tree. This allows you, for example, to quickly fill RTF and table objects using drag & drop.
List & Label variable list
Object List. Allows you to name, identify and lock objects, assign printing sequences, and generate object links.
Layers. These are shown including their print conditions. Object groups are separated by colors and fade in and out within layout and print, making it easy to keep track.
Preview. Helps you control the layout with sample data that you can determine yourself.
Use the formula assistant
– almost everywhere – to simplify your life and include formulas in commercial forms, line filters in lists etc. What's special: you can supply your own explanation texts on the variables.

Add your own functions
using the .NET, VCL and OCX components. The user won't be able to tell them apart from the regular List & Label functions.
With the format editor
simply select a template and have everything formatted swiftly: "That's what it should look like afterwards." That's what Office users are accustomed to.
Format editor: easy to access, even for beginners
Included Projects save time
when object groups occur unchanged in several different projects, e.g. letter heads. Included Projects and their properties are locked against editing and can be shown or hidden in print-outs and at design time independently.
Labels and forms: a strong point.
Simply fill out one of the over 2000 standard label templates provided by international manufacturers (Avery, Badgepoint, Boeder, Devauzet, ERO, Herlitz, Herma, Leitz, May+Spiess). In addition, further sizes can be defined as required. Alongside standard functions, such as font type and line pitch for each line, you can benefit from real high-end functions: Suppress unwanted empty rows and characters, leave out used labels from printing and determine printing orders.
