Our newsgroups can be accessed using a browser or standard newsreader, such as Outlook Express. The same data is accessed in both cases. The following are instructions for setting up Outlook Express 5/6 to access our newsgroups.
1. Setting up Your News Account

Choose [Extras > Services...] in Outlook Express

Choose [Add > News]

Enter your name and click "Next >"

Enter your email address and click "Next >"

Click on "complete"

Confirm the account dialog

Choose "yes" when asked if the newsgroups should be downloaded from the respective account.
2. Choosing Newsgroups
All newsgroups available on our server and to the public appear in the dialog "newsgroups subcriptions". If "read description" is activated, a short description on each newsgroup will be shown. If you want to read a newsgroup, choose the respective newsgroup and click "subscribe". You can also choose all newsgroups - meaning that you subscribe to all of them. Click "OK" to confirm.
3. Reading Newsgroups
Choose the desired newsgroup from the list on the left. The posts contained will then appear in the right window. To reply to an existing post, click on "reply" and a new thread will be started.
